Workforce Development Initiatives Event: Thursday, October 26, 2017

Bryan City Schools Mark Rairigh, Director of Secondary Education  &  Julie Taylor, Special Education Coordinator 

Mark Rairigh will present on a new K-12 Workforce Development Curriculum that incorporates workforce readiness skills and exposure opportunities into the classroom. Julie Taylor will touch on a new transition services program for Bryan City Schools.

2017 Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Day: Friday, October 13, 2017

Manufacturing Day 2017 is presented by the economic development offices in the five county area (Henry, Fulton, Williams, Paulding, Defiance), in partnership with Northwest State Community College and the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).

400+ students and 40+ manufacturers participated in this years event. 

Eighteen schools, thirty local manufacturers and over 300 people participated in the 2016 event! Companies had the opportunity to network and connect with other manufacturers in the Northwest Ohio Region, while also being able to meet and talk to students from all around Northwest Ohio.

Williams County Bus Tour: Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Williams County Economic Development Corporation in partnership with area employers sponsored the 2017 Manufacturing Bus Tour for Williams County school leaders. The group toured 4 area manufacturers and learned about what the companies do first-hand, and learned about theopportunities available in manufacturing.
